Mailbox Monday 8/15

Mailbox Monday is a gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week and explore great book blogs. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

This month Mailbox Monday is hosted by Staci at Life in the Thumb.

Here are the new books I put on my shelf or ereader this week:

Dancing Moon by Barbara Samuel

If I Wait For You by Jane Goodger

Sweet Release (Kenleigh/Blakewell Family Saga) by Pamela Clare

The Amaranth Enchantment by Julie Berry

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Compared with last week, I didn’t pick up nearly as many books. I’m saving my money for the big Sourcebooks sale on Georgette Heyer, which begins 8/15.

What about you? What are you planning to buy this week?

  13. I read The Help when it first came out – thought it was pretty good. I bought a Heyer book this morning: Frederica. Saw great reviews for it. Haven’t read any of her books before so I have high hopes. Have a great week!

The Help is wonderful. I went to Sourcebooks this morning and all the Heyer books were still $13.99. Are they on sale somewhere else??

  15. Kaye, I think the paperbacks are still $13.99 but the ebooks are $1.99 on all stores. I’ve already bought Frederica, Venetia, The Masqueraders, and The Corinthian. Happy reading!

  16. I have a couple of Heyer books but haven’t read them yet. The sale is tempting me but I am not sure if I will enjoy her books. I loved The Help and just bought a new copy since my copy has been on loan for years. It is a fantastic read! I hope you enjoy it and the Heyer sale!

  17. Nice mailbox, can’t wait to see The Help in the movies.
